A couple of years ago I was sitting by myself thinking about things. I was down and discouraged and I began to write my thoughts down. As I began to think about things, God helped me with some very encouraging words and some admonition. You might be in the same place I was and this might serve to encourage you as well.
“As I sit here this morning, I am overwhelmed by the love of God and the ways He pours that love out to me, even when I am troubled. He watches over me, knows what my needs are, tends to my needs, cares for me, provides for me, instructs me, directs me, guides me, and many more things that I can’t think of right now.
God loves me, and I am so thankful. God’s love is continual. He sent Jesus into this world so that I might be connected to His love and enjoy all that my Heavenly Father lovingly desires for me.
Because of Jesus, I have the Holy Spirit in me to personally minister to my every need, every second of every minute of every hour of every day. He is my Savior constantly.
Through the Holy Spirit, He imparts grace to His children (Hebrews 10:29). How I praise and worship God for the grace He imparts in me. Grace is the antidote to all my problems. Grace is the undeserved, unmerited favor and benefit of His divine influence that He imparts in me to meet may every need.
As the difficulties of life begin to get the best of me, He offers more of His mighty grace. Look at what He tells me in James 4:6-10.
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
God tells me that if I remain humble and submit myself to His authority, will, instruction and direction, and seek to be close to Him under all circumstances, He will draw near to me and infuse into me even more of His mighty grace. What a blessing to know that whatever my need is, my Heavenly Father gives me just the right amount of grace to deal with it!
It is when I resist God’s authority, and will, and instruction and direction that I get into trouble. This is pride. The way to get rid of it is by humbling myself before God. Instead of secretly holding on to certain favorite sins, I must get rid of them. my hidden sins keep God from giving me the grace I need.
When I get whatever sinful things that are in me cleaned up and humble myself and go to God and ask for forgiveness, then the floodgates of grace open up. So, my goal is to make every effort to draw near to my Heavenly Father by spending time in prayer, and talking to Him about everything. God says that when I do this, He will lift me up.
I am glad that even when I get caught up in the sin of pride, God is there to help you find a way out!
This is just another way that God continually loves me!”
Our God is awesome! God bless you all! Have a great day!
