Grace and faith go together. Grace is the all-inclusive provision of everything a believer needs to achieve God’s plans and purposes in their life. These wonderful gifts come from God. God is the source of grace.
Faith is embracing God’s provision of grace. Grace is God’s divine influence, inspiration, guidance, direction, conviction, knowledge, wisdom and power. Faith believes and trusts in God’s grace. Faith relies on God’s grace in all circumstances and faith declares and professes God’s ways, plans and purposes by living out God’s grace.
Faith alone, without God’s grace, is useless. God tells us that “faith without works is dead.” (James 2:17) What works is God talking about? He is talking about the good works that are produced by His inspiration, influence, guidance, direction, conviction, knowledge, wisdom and power. These are the “good works” inspired and motivated by God.
What are these good works of God within you?
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind fruit in our lives: love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:24 NLT
As you embrace God’s grace and live it out by faith, the evidence of God’s presence in you is seen in your thinking, speech and behavior. This new lifestyle produces light.
“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14 NLT
The light of a really different life can be seen in love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. You will be the light of the world that Jesus talks about!
So, what is God’s plan for you to be all that you can be as a child of His? The answer is to embrace God’s grace within you and live it out by faith!
Your faith holds the key to living an upright life. Faith relies on God’s grace. By faith, you will overcome the challenges you are certain to be confronted with that will bring glory to God.
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.” 1 John 5:4 NKJV
So, thank God today for His awesome provision of all you need to live a life filled with good works! Live out God’s grace by faith and see what God will do for you today!
