What To Do Until Jesus Returns

All Christians look forward to Jesus’ return and the eternal life and rewards that He promises those who love Him. But what about now? What does God want you to do as you wait for His return?

In the book of Hebrews God gives us insight as to what it is we should be doing as we live in this world awaiting the day when Jesus returns for His people.

Before you came to know Jesus your identity was defined by the sum total of all your human attributes. Your identity was determined by your human strengths and weaknesses. You may have been known for your intellect, a great personality, talent, athletic ability, good looks, or just being an average, ordinary person. Whatever strengths or weaknesses you had, they crafted your identity.

One of the greatest blessings God gives to His children is friends. Every believer needs close Christian friends. Being close to someone with like beliefs allows you to be yourself. Not only can you just be you, and express your true thoughts and feelings without hesitancy or fear of misunderstanding, but a good friend also brings accountability into your life. Getting A Handle On Bad Thoughts

Ever struggle with thoughts that you are grateful no one else can see? Yikes! What a horrifying thought! But, it can’t be helped. Every person is born with a flawed human nature. Along with this come desires and cravings for things that are totally inappropriate and damaging to your relationship with God. These sinful thoughts come whether you like it or not. They just come. They are part of your human condition.
